our beginnings

The First Brethren Church San Diego was established in 1953 to support the local community, with contributions from the Baums. In 1957, we relocated our present site. Throughout the 60s, 70s, and early 80s, the church was guided by Pastor Dalke and Pastor Shrock. In 1984, our congregation launched an AWANA club that continues to thrive today. Under the leadership of the Terans, we also introduced King's Kids Preschool, catering to children aged 2-4 until 2009. Pastor Julian served for several years before the arrival of our current Pastor.

July 2025 begins a new chapter of our ministry with a name and branding change. Welcome to Atlas Church San Diego!
